We were so lucky that day to meet up again with our favorite lion pride. In full anticipation we waited something exciting to happen. But lions are usually lazy followers who snooze all day long under trees and bushes when their tummies are full.
Today was different. The sky darkened with clouds and rain in the air. Not only we, but also a bunch of naughty hyenas followed the lion tracks and started to play a fool out of them.
The much smaller hyenas lurk around and coming closer and closer into the pride´s territory. The males of the pride roared a couple of times already to tell them, “Stay away!”
But the hyena’s matriarch was out for trouble!
Like a non-behaving child it was just not respecting the boundary and warnings. Exuberantly it kept on coming closer to its enemy, followed with mocking laughter by its likeminded bunch.
As much it was amusing for us, it was a call out for war for the eternal enemy.
Suddenly the king of the lion pride stood up. His eyes dreadfully focused as he slowly walked away from his pride towards the hyenas.
