Mara Ngenche – Where the great rivers meet

During my photo-safari in Kenya, we stayed at this authentic and beautiful camp in the Masai Mara, Mara Ngenche. When not busy taking photographs in the bush, I and Dean Paarman, who accompanied me on this trip, were shooting scenes around the lodge. Here you can watch some videos we produced for them while staying at their wonderful camp.

We stayed at Mara Ngenche camp for 9 days during my 2018 Kenya Trip. We noticed this was an unusually long time for our hosts to see the same guests coming and going from safari. Normally people come and spend two or three nights before venturing on, but I was fortunate enough to get the full authentic Mara Ngenche Experience.

What makes this place absolutly spectacular is the location. The camp sits on the meeting  point of the Mara & Talek rivers. At the confluence point hippos grunt & snort all day and night bringing you closer to nature at all times. Naturally, this means you are appointed an escort which assists you to and from your tent. Hippos usually only come into the camp at night, but you can never be too sure.

The location of the camp is very central to the Maasai Mara allowing for really quick access to the Park. Within 5 minutes from camp your safari drive begins. For Photographers this is absolutly fantastic.

The staff are very friendly and always ready to help. The tents are spacious and comfortable. I could easily spend another 9 days at Camp Mara Ngenche.
