In Loving Memory Klaus Tiedge
Klaus Tiedge
With deepest sadness and a heavy heart we are writing you these lines….
Klaus Tiedge passed away in the early hours of 1st July 2019 at his family home in Cape Town, South Africa.
Klaus has been an incredible inspiration for so many in the dealing with his cancer illness from when he got first diagnosed in April 2017.
Throughout his journey Klaus has kept a positive attitude towards life and living and besides conservative treatment he has not stopped implementing new avenues of healing like special diets, qui gong, acupuncture and meditation.
He has had a very strong will to live which was for being with his wife and two children and to enjoy what he had achieved in life.
But it was also his work, the pushing for new projects that kept him moving forward, even through the most difficult times.
The finalising of his film “Safari of my Life” was his most important project in the past year.
The solo exhibition at the well established Stephen Hoffman Photography Gallery in Munich, Germany, in June/July 2019, was something Klaus was very proud of and a great success.
Klaus has had a good quality of life almost till the end and this is also what makes his death so sudden and unbelievable.
Klaus will be remembered as a loving and caring husband and father but also as an entrepreneur, a very talented photographer and artist and a travel enthusiast who has always been looking for new valuable opportunities to grow for his business and as a person.
He is loved for his humble and humorous spirit his love for the beauty of nature and life.
He simply is an inspiration for all of us in so many ways.
In honour of Klaus as a person and his remarkable work we would love to see his legacy to live on.
May it be in finding ways of distribution for his film “Safari of my life” or in the continuation of his wildlife photograph collection.
All original photographs by Klaus Tiedge are continued to be available as limited edition prints and will from now on be released as an estate copy with an embossing stamp and authorisation by Sandra Tiedge.
Rest in Peace dear Klaus!
As we still have a tremendous amount of footage and unreleased images, we will continue to tell Klaus’s Story. Join us as we uncover the behind the scenes footage in the build up to the official launch of “Safari of my Life”.
My wife and I discovered Klaus in YouTube some month ago. It is amazing what kind of work Klaus was delivering, especially the wildlife in Afrika.
We have seen today the message and the small YouTube film that Klaus didn’t win the fight against cancer.
It was with much sadness that I received the news of Klaus passing. I never met Klaus, though was aware of his outstanding work and very much appreciated his work as a founder member of Blendimages. My thoughts are with his family, friends and all the people whom he touched and made a difference to.
